By AARON CHIYANZOABOUT 76 Ethiopians have been apprehended for unlawful entry after a truck was intercepted near Musekela area in Chipata by Immigration Officers from the Chipata Regional Immigration Office and Mwami Border Control. The Ethiopians aged between 15 and 35 years were found concealed in a maize bran-laden Zambian registered Volvo truck, following a tip from the public. Immigration public relations officer, Namati Nshinka said the truck was believed to have been Lusaka-bound. Mr Nshinka said the 76 were being held at Chipata Central Police and will be transferred to Namuseche Correctional Facility pending further immigration formalities.
