In an interview yesterday, Edwin Nyirongo said Zambia’s peace and stability depended on the young people because they were the majority. Mr Nyirongo, who is executive director of Alliance for Luapula Young Entrepreneurs (ALYE), said peace was an expensive commodity and that it should be defended at all cost. “Zambia is currently experiencing unprecedented political happenings. It’s during this period when some politicians are trying to use the youth to fight their personal battles aimed at advancing their selfish motives. “So, there has never been the right time than now when we the youth of this country must come together as one and defend the peace, freedom and democracy that our forefathers fought for,’’ he said.
