Organisation chairperson Kachenga Chungu said the suspected act of arson was unfortunate as the market was a source of livelihood for thousands of marketeers. He said it was believed that the fire gutted the market around 01:00. Mr Kachenga called on security wings to guard the market because this was the second time that fire had gutted the market in short space of time. He said marketeers had suffered untold misery and business loses. “It is unfortunate that people have been made to remember the last fire through this act of suspected arson.
