ZUGAW president Mwiyaluka Kabisa observed that the plan, which was launched by President Edgar Lungu last week, had under its provisions on Economic Growth Strategies and Structural Reform Measures recognised labour as a significant factor in production. Mr Kabisa told the Daily Nation in an interview that the plan was beneficial as it would create decent and productive jobs and increased incomes. “The union also notes that the plan has focussed on improving labour relations and creation of harmony between employers and employees’ interests by strengthening labour administrative systems and promoting the decent work agenda anchored on labour reforms and creation of a comprehensive social security system. “More exciting for workers is that the plan has also focused on the promotion of equal pay for […]
