Mr. Salubusa emphasised the importance of forming women clubs as a way of empowering the community with life skills through savings, knitting, tailoring and poultry. The civic leader said this over the weekend when he toured Chitukuko zone and interacted with the club members and they agreed to raise money through their skills and help the majority of the members who were widows to venture into poultry. “We have been talking about women empowerment and the importance of forming women clubs as we look at ways and means of empowering women, and to achieve this the Chitukuko Women’s Club has embarked on activities through savings, knitting, tailoring and many other skills,” he said.
