The woman, of Maunga Village in Chief Sinadambwe’s area was axed in the neck by her husband after a domestic dispute. Both Chief Sinadambwe and Ward councillor Syden Mweemba confirmed the incident to the Daily Nation in Siavonga and called for the arrest of the perpetrator. Mr Mweemba said when he and other community members rushed to the crime scene, they found the woman unconscious in a pool of blood before they took her to the clinic. Mr Mweemba said the woman is admitted at Chaanga Rural Health Centre awaiting medical evacuation to Siavonga District Hospital for treatment.
