Sat, 22 Jul 2017 10:40:11 +0000 By Oliver Samboko POLITICAL jostling for supremacy in the Siavonga UPND has intensified with 7 aspirant parliamentary candidates positioning themselves to contest on the opposition UPND ticket in the 2021 general elections. According to a grassroot UPND party member who requested for anonymity, the aspirants are already silently campaigning through their emissaries. Its not yet known whether the Incumbent MP, Darius Mulunda will recontest his seat in 2021. The last party primary elections saw 9 contenders that included the incumbent MP Darius Mulunda, Charles Habinda, Zilindi Himoonga and former Local Government and Housing permanent secretary Timothy Hakuyu. Others who participated were former UPND Siavonga district chairman, Jelly Kapalangwe, Leonard Madabula, Collins Simoonga and previous area MP, Kennedy Hamudulu who was sent to early retirement.
