Speaking to the Daily Nation in an interview yesterday, Ms. Katanga said the police command in the province will not tolerate police officers committing crimes. Said Ms Katanga: ‘‘We have two police officers in police custody at Ndola Central police – named Constables Sakala and Chola respectively. ‘‘They have been formally arrested and charged with an offence of assault occasioning bodily harm (AOBH) and they will appear in court, if not on Friday (today) then next week. ‘‘Three persons, who include two civilians and one police officer, are complainants in the matter. ‘‘I want to warn police officers not to break the law; if they are found wanting they will face the consequences.” According […]
