Sat, 10 Feb 2018 13:20:37 +0000 By OLIVER SAMBOKO TORRENTIAL rains have washed away Kawila Bridge in Lusangazi ward of Siavonga in Southern Province, cutting off the area from the rest of the district. Lusangazi ward councillor, Royen Mwiinga confirmed the incident to the Daily Nation in Siavonga saying motorists in the area were now forced to use the longer route through the bottom road to Siavonga town. Mr. Mwiinga said the matter has since been reported to the district council and other relevant authorities and expressed hope that the bridge would be worked on immediately to avoid inconveniencing the travelling public. He warned that if the bridge was not repaired on time it would affect farmers as they would not be able transport farming inputs from Siavonga.
