How can a lawyer today appear before a judge and tomorrow sit to hear a disciplinary case against the same judge? I know in practice one may declare interest but the fact still remains that practicing lawyers should not be members of the JCC. If my memory serves me right, the Chairman of the JCC is Professor Mvunga a practicing lawyer. Appointments should be reserved for retired senior lawyers and judges.
