However, statistics indicate that Eastern Province has the highest prevalence estimated to be around 60 percent. The scourge has however not spared the rest of the continent as it has continued to rear its ugly face in most African countries, a development which has led to African leaders and stakeholders to come together and devise means of eradicating the scourge.
