During the time of creation, the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden and there He put the man whom He had formed (Genesis 2:8). This shows that man had a source of food to keep him going that is to live and sustain the body. Human beings can eat just about anything as food, starting from milk which is secreted by the female (mother) to mineral crystals (common salt), edible fruits, flowers, seeds, stalks, leaves, roots, fish, birds etc. all these and others not mentioned are eaten by man.
