Over the weekend, the council demolished some illegal structures along Tokyo way (Ring road) in Lusaka. And Ms. Phiri said the local authority should expedite the process as some illegal structures had blocked major developmental projects in her constituency. She said in an interview with the Daily Nation that she was eager to see to it that Kanyama was transformed within the shortest possible time. Ms Phiri explained that road tarring projects, which had been embarked on around the constituency, had been halted because of illegal structures on road reserves.
