HPCZ public relations officer Terry Musonda said the council was proud to be associated with the breakthrough by local surgeons, doctors and consultants, who were involved in the separation of the twins Bupe and Mapalo. In an interview, Mr. Musonda noted that the blend of competence, expertise, support, equipment and practical skills had potential to ensure quality health provision to the Zambian people. “It continues to be the Council’s main priority to ensure patients’ safety and it is for this reason that we keep on emphasizing on highly competent and certified health practitioners to handle patients,” Mr. Musonda said.
