Confirming the development to the Daily Nation, UTH spokesperson, Natalie Mashikolo said Bupe was stabilising and would eventually be removed from oxygen. Ms. Mashikolo added that the condition of the other twin, Mapalo still remained stable. ‘Doctors will advise when the twins will be ready to go home and live a normal life. Otherwise both twins are responding well to treatment,” said Ms. Mashikolo. Recently a team of UTH Zambian doctors successfully separated the twin girls who were conjoined at the stomach in a historic operation.
