Senior Court Magistrates Pauline Newa and Miyanda Banda at Matero Local Court made the ruling in a case in which Eunice Hamilumbe, 61, of Chipata compound sued Rodgers Zulu, 19, of Chipata compound for allegedly deflowering and impregnating her daughter, Mary Kamisa, 18. The court in ruling said that Mary was not mad to point at Zulu to be responsible of her pregnancy because there are many men in Chipata compound who are even working and that he failed to challenge her. When the claim was read, Zulu denied responsibility, saying he never made love to Mary and that he just knows her from Chipata compound.
