Bishop Nyonyo said no one should take Parliament for granted and for their personal gain because the allowances lawmakers were getting came from tax payers. He said that he hoped that business would this time continue as expected and without interruptions. The clergyman charged that no parliamentarians were expected to walk away from the National Assembly during the session as it was a sheer waste of resource and the Zambian people’s time. Bishop Nyonyo said in recent times, the parliamentarians had become a burden to the nation because they had been disturbing business at the expense of serving Zambians.
