Luanshya Mayor Nathan Chanda and Mpongwe businessman Emmanuel Kasambo delivered the donation on behalf of the President yesterday. The church will be upgraded to a seating capacity of 1, 000. Mr Kasambo described the donation by the Head of State to the Church as an indicator of his commitment towards promoting the Christian faith in Zambia. He indicated that President Lungu saw the need to contribute towards the completion of the Church following his visit last month. “The President visited the Church last month and promised to contribute towards the building of the Church and he as definitely fulfilled that promise,” Mr Kasambo said.
