Mr Chowa said the targeted people were currently being registered for the scheme which was expected to take off before the end of October. Speaking to the Daily Nation in an interview, Mr Chowa said of the 5,705 people 211 were disabled while the rest were women aged 65 and above as well as child headed homes. He said enumerators were already on ground capturing data for the would-be beneficiaries after which the ministry of community development and social services will come in and give the date for fund disbursement.
