Mon, 10 Oct 2016 10:19:14 +0000 A WASTE management team has partnered with Chipata Water Trust in Mandevu constituency for easy subscription of garbage waste collection in the area, says Raphael Chota Ward 22 councillor Joseph Tamba. In an interview with the Daily Nation, Mr Tamba said the area has also received a tractor for the collection to waste and that the water tariff has been adjusted upwards from 40 ngwee to 50 ngwee . ‘‘People will no longer be paying directly to the waste management team but through Chipata Water Trust and the tractor carrying water will only be supplying those who have subscribed,’’ he said. He hoped that garbage will be collected on a daily basis and that the area will now be garbage free and water shortages will soon be a thing of the past if every household continued subscribing.
