NDC spokesperson Erick Chanda announced that Mr Kambwili would run for the republican presidency on the NDC ticket in 2021, on the pretext that he was the only one with the political muscle and stamina to beat the PF in that election. Mr Katuka said that it was not up to the NDC to say who the best candidate was to unseat PF in the 2021 elections.
