North Western Commissioner of Police Auxencio Daka said the incident occurred on last Monday around 17:00 hours and identified the victim as Dorica Nyakansaila. He said the deceased sustained three cuts on the head, two deep cuts on both legs and a cut on the left hand. “And it is believed that bamboos were allegedly used in the act,’’ he said. Mr Daka said the woman’s body has been deposited in Mwinilunga District Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem. “However, the suspect is at large but investigations have been launched,’’ he added. And a 15-year-old girl of Kikonkomene area in Kasempa district has been defiled by her stepfather.
