By NOEL IYOMBWAUNITED Party for National Development (UPND) Choma Central Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa has announced that he will not re-contest his seat after serving for two terms.Mr Mweetwa told journalists in Lusaka that he would dedicate his time to making sure the UPND and its president Hakainde Hichilema form government.Mr Mweetwa, who is the UPND spokesperson, said that there was no value in being an MP with a reckless government like the Patriotic Front.He alleged that some members of the UPND had applied for adoption on the PF ticket.He also said that the UPND has abolished the two years requirement for one to be a member of the party before they could contest elections.He said that the main requirement would now be the popularity of a prospective aspirant on the ground and has since invited people to stand on its ticket in the August 12 elections.Meanwhile, Mr Mweetwa revealed that the Livingstone High […]
