Sat, 16 Dec 2017 11:17:07 +0000 By MICHAEL MIYOBA in Ndola ZANACO winger Augustine Mulenga was last night crowned the 2017 MTN-FAZ Player of the Year and pocketed K25, 000 while Nkana football club head coach Beston Chambeshi scooped Coach of the Year award after guiding the Busakile side to a third finish with 71 points. Mulenga who was influential in Zanaco winning its maiden Barclays Cup title this year and CAF Champions League qualification, beat finalists striker Chris Mugalu and teammate goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata at the Awards Gala hosted at Moba hotel in Kitwe on Friday night. Mulenga who scored a brace in Zanaco’s final league fixture ended the league with seven goals. The Lusaka Dynamos Mugalu did not walk away empty handed as he grabbed the golden boot award with his 20 goals scored during the 2017 Soccer season.
