Permanent secretary (technical services) Jabbin Mulwanda said under this approach, condoms would play a great part of halting new case loads of HIV. Dr Mulwanda was speaking during commemoration of the International Condom Day in Lusaka yesterday under the theme “Condoms Always in Fashion”. Dr Mulwanda said there was need to steadfastly promote condoms as they had been scientifically proven to work while continuing research for additional HIIV prevention methods to remain on path to end HIV as public health threat by 2030. And AIDS Healthcare Foundation country manager Mabvuto Kango said the organisation would intensify a combination of HIV prevention strategies in the national multi-sectoral, with view of reducing new HIV infections.
