This is contained in a consent judgment by High Court Judge Winnie Mwenda in which Ms Mwanawasa has agreed to pay K87,848.24 over a period of two months to Betternow Finance, being the judgment sum in a case handled by the former first lady. Betternow Finance commenced court proceedings against Dr Mwanawasa in her capacity as legal practitioner following a court judgment in which the lawyer was entitled to a 10 percent pay. “By consent of both parties judgment is hereby entered in favour of the applicant for the sum of K87,484.24 being balance on the judgment sum. “It is also hereby agreed and ordered that the respondent shall pay the applicant the said sum within an agreed […]
