This was in a case in which Christine Mutale, 30, of Kanyama Site and Service sued her husband, Gift Mufalari, 30, for divorce alleging that he drinks too much. However, Mufalari said that he still loves his wife. The two got married in 2013 and have one child. Mutale told Senior Court Magistrate Mubukwanu Matakala sitting with Magistrates Abbyshine Michelo and Esther Mulomba at Kanyama Local Court that Mufalari drinks alcoholic spirits (juntas) excessively.
