Pylon Kaputa 45, of Mulenga Hills in Kasama is said to have shot his wife Naomi Chisanga 41, in the presence of family members. And speaking to the Daily Nation, Northern Province deputy police commissioner Edwin Bwanga said the incident happened when the couple left the local court where they had gone to settle a marital dispute which they were advised to resolve from home. “The man before shooting himself in the head followed his wife in the kitchen and shot her to death,” he said. Mr Bwanga said the woman sustained a bullet wound on her left cheek and the police have since recovered the gun Mr Kaputa used. The two bodies have since been deposited at Kasama General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem and burial.
