When the matter came up for mention before Magistrate Kenneth Mulife, Clifford Chipango could not take plea as the offence he is facing can only be tried by the High Court. Magistrate Mulife told the accused that he would only be appearing for mention until instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) are issued for his committal to the High Court. In this matter, it is alleged that Chipango on January 13TH 2018 murdered Zamaya Namukoko. The matter has been adjourned to February 27TH 2018 for another mention while awaiting committal to the High Court.
