The matter came up for plea in the Chongwe Magistrate court on 18th January 2018. Facts before the court are that, Joe Kalusa, a salesman of Chongwe Council Township is alleged to have had unlawful carnal knowledge of an imbecile contrary to Section 139 chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia. The named victim is of the same residential area. The accused understood the charge but pleaded not guilty. The matter comes up for commencement of trial on 29th January 2018. The accused is remanded in custody awaiting trial.
