Speaking to the Daily Nation, Katopola ward councillor Rodrick Mulenga said the longstanding water problem in Chelston Township would soon end because the CWSC management and the residents had agreed to work on the matter together. He said a committee had been named to oversee the works. Hesaid the company had assured the residents that with or without funding the works would start as people had waited for too long to access safe and clean drinking water.”The Chambeshi manager assured me that available local materials and resources will be used as efforts for funding of the project proved futile,” he said.
