Ms Beatrice Sakala was on July 23 2017 unlawfully wounded by her husband and sustained a deep cut on the right arm and lips. Zambia Police public relations officer Esther Katongo told the Daily Nation in an interview that the suspect, only identified as Alfred, was still on the run. Ms Katongo urged the public who might have information on the whereabouts of the suspect to report to the police so that he could be arrested. Meanwhile, the victim who was admitted to the University Teaching Hospital was on Wednesday discharged but has continued receiving medical attention from home.
