Mon, 31 Jul 2017 11:58:49 +0000 Dear Editor, THIS year, Western Province couldn’t host its first provincial investment expo together with the Kuomboka Ceremony for obvious reasons. And this was after three years of not holding the Kuomboka traditional ceremony due to low water levels in the Zambezi River as a result of the continued drought experienced in the recent past. Neither could Southern Province, whose cultural ceremonies have been suspended in most chiefdoms to protest against the continued incarceration of UPND leader, Hakainde Hichilema, who has so far spent over 100 days in custody on a treason charge which is yet to go for trial in the High Court. But Zambia was not to find the Luapula Expo a highly-hyped event giving it no joy.
