Ernest Kaunda, 46, of Garden House compound was testifying in a case in which his wife, Memory Kalengi, 42, of John Laing compound sued him for divorce on allegation that they have stayed on separation for four years. The two got married in 1991 and have four children. Kalengi told Senior Court Magistrate Abbyshine Michelo sitting with Magistrate Lewis Mumba at Kanyama Local Court that Kaunda left her on November 11, 2012 after he beat her.
