And embarrassed about the expose of fast-tracking the erection of a three-storey building in the area by a Chinese firm, Zheng Yi, by reducing the time frame for the public to make submissions, the Lusaka City Council (LCC) has issued another notice which will end on March 6, 2018. In their letter of objection to the initial notice dated February12, 2018 the residents, among many things, contended that the development could not go ahead since LCC had contravened the processes and procedures in accordance with the Urban and Regional Planning Act No. 3 of 2015 section 53 (2) which states that a planning authority shall not consider an application for the grant of a development permit for a major development […]
