This is according to the recently launched National Tourism Policy which notes that the tourism sector’s vision was to make Zambia a major tourism destination of choice with unique features which could contribute to sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction by 2030. And in a bid to implement the vision, several programs have been implemented to develop and promote various tourism products. The report notes that there are a number of challenges that the sector is facing in order to attain economic growth and increase its contribution to the growth of the economy.
