A check by the Daily Nation found the contractor Avic International on site, excavating the area, grading and putting slabs. Site manager engineer Jerome Liu said the project, which is a donation to the people of Kuku compound through the area councilor Tasila Lungu, is expected to be completed next month. Mr Liu said the complex will comprise a modern netball, football and basketball courts with terraces, a car park as well as ablution block, among other amenities. Meanwhile, residents have thanked area councilor Ms Lungu for the initiative which is meant to empower women and youths in different sports disciplines.
