Sat, 22 Jul 2017 10:40:55 +0000 By OSCAR MALIPENGA FIRST Republican President of Zambia, Dr Kenneth Kaunda, is recuperating well from a minor ailment, at the Adult University Teaching Hospital, Health Minister Dr. Chitalu Chilufya has disclosed. The former President was on Wednesday July 19, admitted to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) to be treated for a minor ailment. Dr. Chilufya told Daily Nation yesterday that Dr. Kaunda has continued to be stable and was attending physiotherapy for an old joint related ailment. “Doctors have also carried out a battery of investigations that constitute his routine medical check-up. “There is no cause to panic as the condition of H.E Dr. Kaunda is very stable and he is in high spirits,” Dr. Chilufya said in a statement. Meanwhile, special assistant to the president for press and public relations Amos Chanda said doctors have described Dr Kaunda’s condition as stable and well enough to be discharged soon. […]
