Speaking when the institute paid a courtesy call on Dr. Kaunda last week, institute chairperson Ambassador Leslie Mbula said Zambia would not have been where it is today without the contribution of Dr. Kaunda politically and economically. Ambassador Mbula, who led a team comprising members of the trust Goksal Cavdaro, Izzet Ugur, Yusuf Dos, and Salih Gulhan, said the institute was humbled by Dr. Kaunda’s selfless service he has continued to render to the country long after leaving political power. Meanwhile, Ambassador Mbula noted that there was need to improve teaching mathematics, science, and technology in Zambian schools as the subjects were crucial to the development of the country.
