Traders at the border post in Mushindamo District, dominated with foreign traders, had tolerated answering the call of nature in nearby bushes owing to lack of sanitary conditions there making it unconducive for business and a health hazard. Mushindamo District Commissioner Benson Ngambo told Daily Nation that the money was part of the K1.4 million 2017 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Government had released to the constituency. Mr Ngambo said Kipushi border had been operating without proper sanitary facilities for a long time despite amplified trade between Zambia and Democratic Republic of Congo.
