Kapoko, the former Ministry of Health Chief Human Resource Officer who is remanded in custody, yesterday appeared before Lusaka Magistrate Kunda Tantameni for mention. However, Kapoko’s application requesting the court to hear the mention in his absence on grounds that there was erratic power supply at Kamwala remand prison where he is remanded was rejected. Magistrate Tantameni said it was for his (Kapoko’s) own benefit that he appeared for mention. “Appearing for mentions is for your own benefit because the court needs to see you and know that you are around before your judgement,” she said His bail was revoked in the interest of justice after he breached his bail conditions by interfering […]
