A 47-YEAR-OLD woman of K village in Kanakantapa ward of Chongwe has allegedly been murdered by her husband after a marital dispute. Chongwe district commissioner, Mr. Robster Mwanza who confirmed the development described the incident as devastating. He condemned the suspected murder and appealed to the residents to practice restraint when faced with the temptation to engage in fighting. He disclosed that the couple reportedly had a sharp difference on women’s day on 8th March and the wife was even hospitalized after being assaulted. He said that the suspected murder happened in the early hours of yesterday (12/03/2021). He named the suspect who was currently on the run as Walubita mwanang’uku, 51.
