The woman, identified as Esnart Mwenya, of Mutima Village in chief Lukwesa of Mwense district was allegedly murdered by her 49 years old husband, Rodwell Lumbwe of Chawelwa village, Chief Kanyembo of Nchelenge in Luapula province. Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said according to the father of the deceased said his daughter was beaten by her husband on unknown dates and time, but in June, 2017 and she was kept in the house until she died yesterday. Ms Katongo said the body is lying in St. Paul‘s Mission Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem while the suspect has been arrested and is detained in police custody.
