Mr Tonga said that the UPND leader was too stubborn and that he was resistant to reformation. He reiterated that even his pronouncements when he was in incarceration that he held no grudge against anyone were all deceitful. Mr Tonga said in an interview with the Daily Nation that Mr Hichilema was too arrogant to reform even after spending over 100 days in prison. He noted that the UPND leader had been undermining government efforts to improve the living conditions of the people since his release.
