Sun, 11 Feb 2018 09:20:04 +0000 By CHINTU MALAMBO A SECURITY guard has sued the Redeemed Christian Church of God and its pastor in the Lusaka High Court demanding damages for wrongful dismissal. According to a statement of claim, Mr Sydney Musonda has sued Pastor Patrick Osagie and the church for claiming that he had neglected his duties which allegedly led to his dismissal from employment. Mr Musonda says he was employed as a security guard at the church on April 3, 2013 and he worked for three years. He claims that Pastor Osagie obregated the labour laws by his failure to pay him housing, lunch and holiday allowances as well as salary underpayment, contrary to Minimum Wages and Conditions Act Cap 286 and Employment Act Cap 269 of the laws of Zambia.
