In an interview with Daily Nation, Mr Chitotela said that out of the budgeted K9.6million only K2. 6 million remained to be paid to the contactor China Geo contractor. Mr Chitotela said the rehabilitation of the road was expected to take about two months and will cut through the mountain to avoid similar problems in future. “We expects the contractor to move on site because we have paid about 70 % and we are only remaining with K2.6 million, hence I do not expects works to derail.
