Sat, 26 Nov 2016 14:06:55 +0000 THE Government through Ministry of Finance has released K25 million to pay two contractors working on the Ndola-Kitwe dual carriageway and the Kitwe-Chingola road on the Copperbelt. Kitwe district commissioner Chanda Kabwe said the Ministry of Finance had decided to pay for the construction of the roads whose works had stalled. Mr Kabwe said Sino-Hydro who are working on the Kitwe-Chingola dual carriageway have done much of the works. Mr Kabwe was speaking in Kitwe yesterday when he inspected the state of the new road in Kitwe. He said the Kitwe-Chingola road was of vital economic importance because it was going to neighbouring DR Cong0. Mr Kabwe said the Kitwe-Chingola road had contributed massively to the economic development of Zambia because most of the goods and services being transported to the North-Western Province and DRC used the same road.
