Sat, 16 Dec 2017 11:11:19 +0000 By CHINTU MALAMBO GOTV Broadcasting Limited has discontinued the matter in which it had sued ZNBC, Top Star and the Attorney General in the Lusaka High Court seeking an injunction to compel the national broadcaster to immediately restore the free-to-air services on the GOtv digital terrestrial television. Through a Consent order on discontinuance of action, the parties in the matter consented to settle the matter outside court. Earlier this year, GOtv saught a court order to restrain ZNBC from disconnecting their services and from continuing to encrypt the signal transmitted by free-to-air content providers. It was also seeking a declaration that the operation of the public signal distribution network by Top Star, was illegal and unlawful.
