Wed, 29 Mar 2017 12:33:57 +0000 By CHARLES MUSONDA PRIME Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn yesterday arrived in Zambia to a thunderous and colourful welcome at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. Mr. Desalegn’s Ethiopian Airlines plane touched down at 15:50 hours and was received by President Edgar Lungu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba and permanent secretary Chalwe Lombe; deputy secretary to Cabinet (Finance and Economic Development) Christopher Mvunga, defence chiefs and other Government dignitaries. He was accorded a 21-gun salute and later inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Zambia Army. The Ethiopian leader is on a three-day State visit and is expected to return home on Friday.
