Speaking in an interview after he inspected the K250,000 ablution block at Siavonga Recreation Park, Mr Kanyama said he found it difficult to accept that the money the district council claims to have used on the project was the correct amount. He called on residents and the general public to be calm as his office was doing everything possible to determine how the project was conducted and the amount involved. Some residents in Siavonga have questioned claims by the opposition UPND-run Siavonga District Council that it used K250,000 on the construction of the public toilets in the central business district and have called on the office of the DC to investigate the matter.
